E-Citizen Meet E-Government; Take Me to Your LeaderWe often hear technology experts talk about the digital divide and yet the division or chasm between those that have technology and those that don't has completely been crossed. That is to say the Digital Divide has been conquered completely in the United States of America. This means that e-government initiatives are able to help all citizens.But these citizens are not just regular citizens they too are part of the e-Revolution and they are now considered e-citizens. The new slogan might be: E-Citizen meet E-Government; Take Me to Your Leader. First however, we will need to do more Marketing of our e-Government Initiatives. Are the citizens ready for the future changeover where fewer human bureaucrats will not be running things; and more systems will be government IT systems, which will work 24 hours a day and are able to disseminate information to anyone at any time in any jurisdiction? The future for e-Government is bright and it means a tremendous streamlining and efficiencies. Are you ready for the e-Government e-Revolution and are you willing to become an e-citizen and participate in e-democracy thru e-Voting? I hope you have answered yes to all these questions because that is the future and the future is well on its way. There are people right now deciding the fate of future government infrastructure. No more wasteful paperwork bureaucracy, no more lazy government workers and no more excuses. I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought.
