I own a website, this is something that most of us who use the Internet regularly, own. However, the reasons why I started my own website were far different than others who own the website.

I am a new comer where website ownership is considered. I started this website because I wanted to experience what it was like to own a website and how I would be able to manage it. I bought the package from a famous Internet company which promises to give good services. I bought this package deal from the company solely due to the reason that it happened to be famous and nothing else at all.

The website which I started was meant for small businesses, I thought it might be appropriate for me and yes this one did turn out to be almost perfect. It was then I realized that there was a lot more to website ownership than just owning a website.

Because of my cautious nature I had educated myself with responsibilities and requisites of owning a website (however, this was not something I owned but a site offered people like me a free website to own), and the site itself earned money by displaying advertisements. It was a boon for people like me who did not want to invest at all but wanted to learn all about the basics of using website building tools.

Most of the website hosting companies offer free use of their website building tools, if you are amateur trying your hand out like me at owning a new website, this is a saving grace. You do not require hiring a programmer to make a sophisticated website, nor do you require putting in a lot of investment, this could be a great way to learn all by yourself, the way search engines and the Internet works!

People are finding Internet as a new tool to advertise and to reach out to people. Gone are the days where someone, somewhere would be searching for a company specializing in certain type of machinery manufacture, and someone somewhere who manufactured just the same type of machinery, waited for clients and business. Internet has become the meeting place for types of people, the sellers and the buyers.

This has brought a noticeable increase in business for people for who before it was difficult to search for clients. People are not putting their portfolios on the Internet, with photographs and finding new clients and increasing business.

Internet has practically removed the borders around the globe and sought out globalization in real terms. A person in USA can now earn or give business to a person residing in India, thus removing all those barriers of communication and understanding.

My foray into owning a website was quite late, though I started using the Internet as soon as it was started in my country. It has been almost last 10 years, I had not dared venture into this before, if you are adventurous in a small way, like me, you too can get yourself a package deal, these come really cheap and start a website for yourself.

Do I find my website as perfect? NO! Not at all, but this was what I intended when I bought a website for myself, I wanted it to be imperfect, I wanted to be able to add and delete stuff whenever I wished, in short, that my website is not perfect, is something I enjoy! I want to make it and remake it till I can perfect it, it’s a real job on hand I know but, I am enjoying it! You can too!
