Web Content, Profiles, and Sales – Increase Profits Immediately

Web 2.0, Blogs, Static Pages...every site on the Internet must convey their all-important message with words. Your web content must quickly attract, convert, and demand the action you want your visitors to take. Communication in our busy world must be informative, direct, and without hype. Almost every person browsing the web is looking for specific information, services, or products. If a person doesn't quickly find what they're looking for (about 8 seconds) or a link to it, they are gone from your site never to return.

Videos, blogging, and other Web 2.0 technologies have given us even more ways to speak to our niche... and more ways for our niche to find just what they want. So how do you stay abreast of the changes and make sure your web content provides your market the information they need quickly and efficiently?

Know your target market. You must have a profile of your intended visitor that's just as complete as if they were sitting across the table talking with you. Like an old friend… you must understand their needs, their desires, their beliefs, and their abilities in order to hit the emotional button to make them stop, listen, learn, and take the action you want them to take once they visit your site. The content on your website must make the visitor feel just as though they are talking with a trusted friend. This type of web copy builds confidence and informs…all the while leading your visitor to take the desired action.

Placing content on your site without making sure it's what your niche market wants is both time consuming, and risky. Regardless of the methodology you use whether it be blogging, social sites, videos, or other web tools, if you don't cater your information as though you're their best friend providing them with the best of what they want, you'll lose potential customers and much of your target audience.

With so many scams, and too much available information people are looking for the "emotional connect" to get the feeling they're dealing with a real live person they can trust, and relate to for their needs. This phenomena flows back to basic human needs to connect. That's what your web content must do...CONNECT with your visitors.

This connection occurs by hitting the emotional “hot button” of your visitor. If they’re looking for information give them facts, figures, and how-to’s about your topic. Let them know what your site can do for them. How will it solve their problems, fill their needs and desires, or improve their image? If it’s products they’re looking for make sure your product descriptions are benefit based and not just a list of features. Again, the words of your web content must draw your visitor in and fill his needs in a way so he “feels” the benefit of visiting your site. Once you have triggered his emotional desires you have a buying customer and a loyal repeat visitor to your website.
